If retarded adventures aren't motivation enough, there's an inscription in Ye Olde English promising lots and lots of treasure for anyone who can get to the center of the maze. (the treasure is... anything if you have your character find it, as long as it isn't weapons or anything game-breaking/god-modding.) But it's very hard to find in the first place and you're likely to get lost anyway! Some of the pathways lead to underground tunnels! Which lead to anywhere on the island! Maybe there's some monsters in there too idk it's not that safe!

Also the paths change themselves, so you might turn around and whoops, there's a stone wall blocking where you just came from. Have fun with that!]
