[He still thinks most everyone on the island is insane. No, he still doesn't believe in all the magic. And yes, he's still trying to find some way to logically explain everything.
But even detective maniac Edogawa Conan needs a break. Which was why today he was taking a break. At present, he was sitting under a tree with a stack of comic books on top of his jacket laying on the ground.
They were Sherlock Holmes comics. He wanted to see if they were any good since he hadn't gotten the chance to read them back home. For the moment, he seems more than content.
...now, really, he's just asking for someone to bug him.]

Beatrice is a title among witches of Endless anyway, it has no bearing on the story. No secret meaning. That loving guidance is something you could better apply to my teacher, who bore the title Beatrice before I did.

Of course. Which is why I'm throwing out possible theories. It shows I'm thinking about it.

Speaking of...

Yeah, an idea. [Marks the page and sets down the comic, sitting up straight.] First off, the rose is easily prepared in advanced. Saying I could choose any in the whole garden is just a way to make it seem like you couldn't predict which one, but since you said wilted, you had already limited to the number of choices I had.

One idea is flash paper. Since it's thin and light, all you have to do is color it it to look like the rose. Then add a chemical that could produce a golden color. All it takes is a spark that the butterfly sets off and the flash paper goes up in a flash. It goes up so fast, it wouldn't even damage the rose and then it looks good as new.

You examined the rose closely before I revived it, didn't you? I allowed you to make sure it was a wilted rose. If it was paper, you would have noticed, right? You're observant, so a little detail like that couldn't possibly slip by you! That's why I let you observe it so closely in the first place! So I'll cut down that theory in red.
no subject
But the rose wasn't made of paper. Then... *Ponders.*
Then it'd possible you soaked the actual rose with the compound that makes flash paper go up in a flash. The rose would be organic, but it would be like flash paper itself. Being wilted, it was already dry. And in the proceeding flash, a device shoots up a perfectly healthy looking rose. All it'd take in a small clasp to hold it down and a spring to put it back up into place.
Many magicians make perfectly healthy roses appear as soon as a flash paper goes off.

I'll counter with a devil's proof, and I'll give you your first taste of blue.

Since that trick was shown to me only less than two weeks after meeting you, which was when you arrived, why was it a recently planted rose garden already suffering from wilted roses? During those two weeks, you had a home and a full garden. Since they have to be planted there, why weren't the wilted roses done away with right away and left on the bush? It's not how could you be sure all the wilted roses were covered, but the real question is why there was any wilted roses for me to find at that point in time when they should have only been there a few days?
no subject
Ohhh, I'm having too much fun to let this go now! I'll state this: Hahahahaaaa... I never stated one way or another how it came to be, right? Now you know!
So here's my final question... whoever said the rose garden had been immediately planted? Break down my counter-argument in blue now and I'll hand over the second game to you.
no subject
Further more, you didn't have to cover the whole rose garden. You just had to do it in the area where you would tell me to find a wilted rose.
I didn't know the type of magic you were to perform. All I knew was the wilted rose was to be a prop. Chances are almost zero that I would leave that area. The fact you said I could go anywhere in the garden lowered those chances even more. Since I was not 'limited,' I saw no need to go out of my way to look for a rose and would choose one I saw in the immediate area so I could see the trick.
I did not know what was to happen to the rose and a good many rose tricks don't require any advanced preparations. Even more reason why I wouldn't think to leave the immediate area because I didn't think there was anything done to the rose specifically before hand.
Yet another point was the magic was to be performed a bit before my departure. The chances are even smaller because I wasn't likely to go trekking over the whole garden after the second piece right before I left to find a wilted rose.
There was a possible chance I'd leave the area, but the chance was so small, it would be pure bad luck for you that I would leave the area. And everyone who performs magic has to believe they have some good luck. You even said your magic requires luck, so there's no reason to think you'd be hit by such bad luck.
And a good chunk of magic tricks is to manipulate the audience into acting how you want. All you had to do was to make sure I wouldn't have a specific desire to leave the area.

Done!
Woo~! I'm going to go up in level of my BSing skills by the time they're through.
There's no end to the level of BSing one can do with Umineko arguments :|b
This is true! I also find myself watching a whole lot more youtube videos on magic.
That and remembering Beato constantly omits stuff with the Red Truth should help a lot :|b
That it does~! Also, I keepwanting to see Conan use Blue just cause he'd freak at hurting Beato. O_o
... oh god that'd be so cool to play out. MORAL CONFLICTS.
IT WOULD BE! I have no idea HOW, but he'd do anything to take back the damage.
As long as Beato could cut it down in red afterward, she'd be okay!
So the Blue must always be weak for his sanity.
... Unless he really wants to impale her, yes. s-sob - 1/2

He really doesn't. He feels bad cause he let a murderer commit suicide. Or rather couldn't stop him.
W-WELL At least... Beato is really hard to kill. Or permanently maim.
At least there's that!

jejoweijqw I need to remember everyone that's there. THought I was missing one. O_<
HAHA I forgot too so I guess Nanjo is kind of forgettable. :(
Which kind of makes him more suspcious....
Especially since he's the only one who thoroughly checks out the bodies!
He could be making up all sorts of facts.
You can never trust them doctor types.
They've certainly killed enough people in Conan's world.
And let's not forget everyone's favorite nurse ever.
Though to be fair, the doctor was a good guy then too.
He just... got the short end of the stick. A lot.
Poor Irie. Hopefully those times he died, he got to go to loli maid heaven.
We can only hope ;w;
