[He still thinks most everyone on the island is insane. No, he still doesn't believe in all the magic. And yes, he's still trying to find some way to logically explain everything.
But even detective maniac Edogawa Conan needs a break. Which was why today he was taking a break. At present, he was sitting under a tree with a stack of comic books on top of his jacket laying on the ground.
They were Sherlock Holmes comics. He wanted to see if they were any good since he hadn't gotten the chance to read them back home. For the moment, he seems more than content.
...now, really, he's just asking for someone to bug him.]

Ohhh, I'm having too much fun to let this go now! I'll state this: Hahahahaaaa... I never stated one way or another how it came to be, right? Now you know!
So here's my final question... whoever said the rose garden had been immediately planted? Break down my counter-argument in blue now and I'll hand over the second game to you.
no subject
Further more, you didn't have to cover the whole rose garden. You just had to do it in the area where you would tell me to find a wilted rose.
I didn't know the type of magic you were to perform. All I knew was the wilted rose was to be a prop. Chances are almost zero that I would leave that area. The fact you said I could go anywhere in the garden lowered those chances even more. Since I was not 'limited,' I saw no need to go out of my way to look for a rose and would choose one I saw in the immediate area so I could see the trick.
I did not know what was to happen to the rose and a good many rose tricks don't require any advanced preparations. Even more reason why I wouldn't think to leave the immediate area because I didn't think there was anything done to the rose specifically before hand.
Yet another point was the magic was to be performed a bit before my departure. The chances are even smaller because I wasn't likely to go trekking over the whole garden after the second piece right before I left to find a wilted rose.
There was a possible chance I'd leave the area, but the chance was so small, it would be pure bad luck for you that I would leave the area. And everyone who performs magic has to believe they have some good luck. You even said your magic requires luck, so there's no reason to think you'd be hit by such bad luck.
And a good chunk of magic tricks is to manipulate the audience into acting how you want. All you had to do was to make sure I wouldn't have a specific desire to leave the area.

Done!
Woo~! I'm going to go up in level of my BSing skills by the time they're through.
Are you? Heh, it's not actually that bad of a feeling, depending on the circumstances. [God knew Kid made him feel like that. And there's a smirk.]
It's only my duty to provide a thrilling deduction.
There's no end to the level of BSing one can do with Umineko arguments :|b
And you didn't disappoint! I'm very pleased with that reasoning, but brace for a much harder game. I'll expect you to entertain and enrage me all the more!
Two pieces, yes? That's what we agreed on.
This is true! I also find myself watching a whole lot more youtube videos on magic.
It is a proper tradition, to have levels get harder as a game progresses.
That's correct.
That and remembering Beato constantly omits stuff with the Red Truth should help a lot :|b
Right now, or would you rather return to your books?
That it does~! Also, I keepwanting to see Conan use Blue just cause he'd freak at hurting Beato. O_o
Now's good. Now I'm excited to see what new pieces I'll see next. [But he's packing those comics in the suit jacket to keep them safe for the time being.]
... oh god that'd be so cool to play out. MORAL CONFLICTS.
You should be. There's something very interesting in store for today. Shall we head back to the garden?
IT WOULD BE! I have no idea HOW, but he'd do anything to take back the damage.
[Nods, picking up the jacket with the comics.] Lead the way.
As long as Beato could cut it down in red afterward, she'd be okay!
[ And walking until they reach that rose garden. If you take the time to notice-- or can pick it out out of all the flowers-- the rose she performed the trick on has wilted again. A case of the flower reverting to the state it once was before her magic, typical endless magic. ]
Ready? I believe this is where we left off last time.
So the Blue must always be weak for his sanity.
[Does note it, but doesn't question it. After all, solving the magic trick isn't the important part of the game and asking about it now might make him lose the second piece.]
I'm ready. Maria had just read a letter she got from 'Beatrice' to the family.
... Unless he really wants to impale her, yes. s-sob - 1/2
I'll summarize things from there. The family argued over its validity and so on and so forth. I'm going to bring you now to a little discussion between Kyrie and Battler... you already know that it's best to follow him, anyway. [ Said with a dryly sarcastic tone. Damn you, truth day. Anyway, again, seven colors of smoke are spilling from her pipe and surrounding the area. ]

... Quite a prophet, isn't he? Maybe Rudolf inherited some of Kinzo's latent magic as well.
He really doesn't. He feels bad cause he let a murderer commit suicide. Or rather couldn't stop him.
That would be best. [Smirks a bit.] Better to know from the reliable viewpoint.
[Listens to the discussion. Really, there was just chess metaphors all over the place? Though maybe the flipping the chessboard line is what prompted it? And then Rudolf came in...]
...so he did. [And he looks quite interested in that, the expression on his face saying he was already connecting points.] I take it he dies before he gets to talk to Battler?
W-WELL At least... Beato is really hard to kill. Or permanently maim.
... Come now, I'm not spoiling anything for when the deeds actually happen. Forgive me if I'm irritatingly vague from here on out, I have to be careful with my treasured red sword. [ cackle! ] Ah... I think Natsuhi and Krauss are up to something interesting as well. Let's take a look.
At least there's that!
It's not really a 'spoil' as that's how this usually works. It's always before someone says something important that they die. Hopefully it will not be the reason for his death or it'd be truly sad. [And he has figured out at least a few of the people were going to die.] Ah, are they? Let's go then.
no subject
Hmhmhm... [ Doing a simple scene shift instead of walking, magic is handy. Krauss is just unveiling that gold bar to Natsuhi to prove it exists and that Kinzo's gold presumably does as well. ] Quite a find, Krauss... I must applaud you.
[ She's not asking this time before doing another scene shift. It's Jessica passing on her scorpion pendant to Natsuhi. Which earns an irritated look from Beatrice. ] Honestly, Jessica, you make things annoying for me sometimes.
no subject
[He raised an eyebrow at that.] His proof was one gold bar of unknown origin? And how he convinced investors. And to be believed so easily, it's quite suspicious.
[Looked at Beatrice and then at Natsuhi and chuckled.] An early target you were unable to touch?
no subject
It also establishes a fine motive, doesn't it? -- Oops, that slipped. But you probably already knew that, so it's fine, really.
Sadly. [ Watches Natsuhi walk back to her room. ] There's one more scene I need to show you before we can finish this piece and move onto the second.
no subject
The gold? Oh, of course the gold is a motive, but I'm now curious if it does exist. One gold bar as proof to the investors? It sounds like a con job. Has anyone seen any of the gold beyond that one bar?
[Nods, watching Natsuhi leave.] Okay.
no subject
That remains to be seen, doesn't it? [ cackle! ]
[ Scene shift once more! It's a pretty drastic change, as now they're in the pouring rain in front of the arbor. Now we get to watch George's proposal to Shannon! Which... in other situations, would be really sweet, but really only gives an ominous feeling given what's going to happen next.
Beato is really not helping the mood, she's just humming along the wedding march, which just sounds eerie coming from her. ] Ah... that's no good, is it, detective? These kinds of scenes are never good.

jejoweijqw I need to remember everyone that's there. THought I was missing one. O_<
HAHA I forgot too so I guess Nanjo is kind of forgettable. :(
Which kind of makes him more suspcious....
Especially since he's the only one who thoroughly checks out the bodies!
He could be making up all sorts of facts.
You can never trust them doctor types.
They've certainly killed enough people in Conan's world.
And let's not forget everyone's favorite nurse ever.
Though to be fair, the doctor was a good guy then too.
He just... got the short end of the stick. A lot.
Poor Irie. Hopefully those times he died, he got to go to loli maid heaven.
We can only hope ;w;
