(no subject)

[Once again, there's a disgruntled, bloodied Hakuba with bloody holes in his clothing grumping downstairs in the Inn.]

[Oh, he's got spare clothes that aren't mauled, he's just not going to worry about them at the moment.]

[If anyone saw him last time, it looks like his impalement this time was even MORE excessive.]

[Stupid Pyramid Head. Stupid angel.]

Precisely.

The thing is, they can greatly alter our perceptions. They work like Schrödinger's cat, showing us what's 'possibly' in the box. And with that, they can alter the serious player's perceptions greatly. But there is always hints to the truth within that possible truth.

[You should dislike impalement.]

It's simple. You have to challenge them outright.

Once you're in a duel with them, you can survive until one of you has stopped thinking. After all, if you're aiming to disprove their magic, then it's not really there to hurt you, now is it?

[...one must wonder how he KNOWS all this. Because no way Beato just told him.]

Correct. I was taking things just a bit too literally before my eyes. Due to that, I could not see the real truth. In the end, it's all a trick, a show, to the point where your mind is tricked into believing it until you see a way out of it.

It could.

The problem is, she wants to believe in magic.

There is, but it's best not to go for that mechanism. We're not capable of taking out the machine. Only the power for it, which is their own minds.

It will take making her believe she is not furniture to really help her.

[identity profile] 17-going-on-8.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 10:00 am (UTC)(link)
...she might have that idea in her head.

It just takes getting her to truly believe it. But it'd be nice if we could get rid of her fear of Bernkastel as a witch as well. But baby steps are good.

[identity profile] 17-going-on-8.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 10:21 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, I think I can do something for that.

[Pauses.] By the way, keep in mind Bernkastel has probably ordered her to spy on us. Bernkastel's been too quiet about us taking hr.

[identity profile] 17-going-on-8.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 10:41 am (UTC)(link)
That it does.

How much does she trust you? Does she think of you as a person whose 'helped' her?

[identity profile] 17-going-on-8.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 10:47 am (UTC)(link)
...yeah. It'll probably have helped.

But it's still probably me she'd trust more for any really confusing things. Keep working to befriend her some more.

She's a good girl. She really does deserve a chance.

[identity profile] 17-going-on-8.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 10:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yes.

Though be careful. She's rather arrogant and prideful.

I think I've been having as easy a time of it so far because of the kid thing. People aren't as defensive with an eight year old.

[The gentleman thing can rub tsunderes the wrong way, depending. Just being cautious.]

...just be careful. She had a bad relationship, so too flirty and she might dislike you.

[identity profile] 17-going-on-8.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 11:10 am (UTC)(link)
[Pauses.]

...you can recognize when you're flirty, right?

[identity profile] 17-going-on-8.livejournal.com 2010-11-15 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
....did you flirt with Ran?
