Things were pretty stressful then so a detective being protective would be excusable. It's the casual points to be worried about, but at least you realize now.

Although in this case, I haven't exactly eaten my foot with her before like I have with some other people, and I do work partly in behavior and psychology.

Knowing the stuff in the book or when removed from the situation is one thing. When faced to face with the person, it gets a bit harder. [He suffers from the same problem.]

Well, even just dealing with the person face to face on a personal basis instead of a professional one changes it - investigations don't mean you have to try to get along with the person or deal with them for longer than it takes to finish the case.
