Wow. This is definitely not your island. And the drone of monsters just outside the fence doesn't sound like any dingo you've ever heard.

[At the moment, Conan was running more or less on automatic. He dealt with death a lot, yes, but seeing someone he actually, well, CARED about hit and hit hard. The closest he ever got before was when he was already 'dead,' when his friends had just been attacked, or that one music teacher. Otherwise, he barely knew the people at all. So much so that Akemi stood out as one of the more painful deaths just because of her dying words.]

[He never dealt with it and he was just shoving it all aside for now because he had no other way to deal with it.]

[Beatrice. He had to get to Beatrice. She was still at the Mansion.]

[He ran across the rooftop, managing the jump to the next building to get down that fire escape. There were still zombies between him and the Mansion, but...well, they weren't that hard to outrun at the moment.]

[ Beato had done her fair share of searching-- and after everything she put up with in the mansion, when she finally found a way out, she couldn't afford to look back.

There are zombies around. Plus something that look like a butcher with a metal pyramid on it's head and a giant knife around. Giant meaning it's probably bigger than you.

[Looks at the paper. Looks around and grabs the paper to look at it.] Where did you get this?

The mailbox over there. [ gestures ]

[Goes to look at that mailbox! Keeping an eye out for monsters.]

[Looking around the mailbox and sees a few others, moving over to take a look at them and then at the letter again.]

...I see. So it's like a video game. [Goes over to Beatrice and hands her the letter.] Keep a hold of that key. It says City Hall, which is usually near the center of town, so we'll have to head in.

Anyway, you said the map was most important.

It's a large area. Even if we come up with plans, we need to know where we can go.

Bus stops are good places. So is City Hall. There's usually emergency services near there so even if the building itself doesn't have a map, which is unlikely unless someone else gets it, we'll be able to find a place with one.
