Important stuff that is always universal. They are the walking dead. The only way to kill them is to attack their head. Smash in their brains, bullet through the forehead, decapitate them, whatever. Hitting them anywhere else will slow them down at best.

And most importantly, do not get bit. You get bit, you WILL turn into them. There's no ifs ands or buts about it.
