[There's a notlittle boy standing outside the Labyrinth. He seems to be seriously debating whether or not to go in.]
If I keep my hand on one wall, I should be able to make my way out, even if I lose track somehow. And if there's dangers, I should be able to handle it. How bad can a maze be? Not like a large predator would be able to find all it's food in there unless there's a lot of animals...
[He's mostly talking to himself in this debate. He hasn't really talked to anyone that day. Too bad or he might have realized what's going on.]

Naturally, I wouldn't expect a cynical observer like you to be swayed.

I prefer realist.

Ah, you mean, you think I have no doubt whatsoever when I make a deduction?
no subject
... Hoh? [ curious ] So you allow yourself room for error?

Detectives aren't gods. Any detective whose any good accepts the fact there's a possibility they are wrong. That they missed something or didn't interpret the clues the right way. It's necessary to be a good detective, actually. After all, if a detective can't, then when they're proven wrong, they can't find the real truth.
Every deduction I make, I have a little doubt. But part of being a detective is having confidence that even though you can't have a one hundred percent certainty, that you're right and present the facts. And hope that if you are wrong, that there's definite proof so that person you falsely accused doesn't suffer from the bias you planted.

Of course, that weight... doesn't truly fall on your shoulders. It's Battler, who I play the game with back home who has the power to swing down the axe. But it still applies, it still is something to remember.
no subject
I know. To me, it's only a very good detective novel. Though it's not like I don't recognize the weight, as I have it back home.
no subject
... After all, I've presented it to you like a story. I wonder how you'd feel if any of those people turned up here?
no subject
Not that I would tell the person about the game. I don't really enjoy messing with innocent people's minds that much.
no subject
... Good. It'd be best for those who show up not to know of the higher plane Battler and I fight on. It could really distort the pieces, and I can't have that.
no subject
But I could also look at Rokkenjima as a possible scenario. After all, I've imagined how I could die countless times. Or those close to me. All just 'what if's.' And as long as the game with Battler goes on, that's the case in the end, isn't it? It all resets, so the previous game only becomes a possible scenario and not the 'truth.'
no subject
... Hmm... kihihi. I wouldn't say that you could leave them as 'possible scenarios'. Every game has it's own world, and life goes on after the game is done for that specific universe. It has its repercussions no matter what.
no subject
And that might be a concern... [But did he really have to say he doubted it was quite like that?]
no subject
I'm sure... Battler isn't quite aware of that fact yet.
no subject
That the 'worlds continue?'
no subject
Right. Or if he is, he hasn't acknowledged it.
no subject
He might not, if he denies you.
no subject
It'd be wise if he did acknowledge that fact. It'd benefit him.
no subject
Why's that?
no subject
... I can't say.

Because, yes, he is that short.
... HAHA I didn't even consider that.
I actually just remembered when I saw the icon.....
It... really is ridiculously short.
It is. And so is he. His eyes are always JUST above the normal short skirts.
... heaven help him if he ever meets Jessica.
Oh, the evil temptation. Even he can't ignore it when it's on a platter like that.
Even Shannon, man. What is it with this series and short skirts. - 1/2
