GEARING UP

Today, we will be experiencing the THRILL and ADVENTURE of white water rafting!

Some of you may not know this, but the Spartans originally developed this sport!

Of course, when we did it, it was completely without any safety precautions. In fact, we actively tried to kill the others aboard the raft while navigating the perilous rivers of Sparta.

YOU will not be attempting the Spartan sport. But this river will be just as dangerous as any you find elsewhere! Prepare your minds and your bodies, and you just might survive!


[ Next to the river are just enough inflatable rafts (http://www.myfishingpictures.com/data/500/medium/7236aire_raft_on_water.jpg) to have one for every cabin. Inside of each raft are the essentials: life vests (of varying colors, just to give you some variety,) paddles, paint ball guns, etc.

[ Rafting down the river... and no guide to help the cabins along. It's up to each member of the teams to pull their own weight, and hopefully at least one of them knows enough not to get them all killed.

The river starts off smoothly... An easy ride, to get people used to this, and perhaps discuss the ridiculousness of the entire thing.

But then it picks up. And when it does, it goes all-out. The river is fast, the river is churning, and it has more rocks than a river should ever have in it. Hope you all prepared well.

[ You made it past perilous rapids, navigated around treacherous obstacles... and the river has become calmer.

So what's that noise just around the river bend?

As the rafts get closer, that, too, becomes clear.

There's a waterfall.

THERE IS A WATERFALL.

Hold on tight, boys and girls. This ride is going to get a lot more bumpy. ]
