All right, fair enough. I've learned that the only way to come and go is by appearing and disappearing, because the island is surrounded by an unbreakable barrier. The hypothesis is that this is another world, entirely separate from our own. Additionally, there are a number of anomalies, such as trees that grow clothes, and hot springs that affect people in varyingly strange ways.

That covers most of it, I think.

Let's see... stay from some of the berries; they can actually change your personality and make you act crazy, like say, fall in love against your will, or even change your skin color. Time actually runs completely different from here; in fact, you could live here for years and come back home to find out that it's only a few minutes long.

Oh, and don't get me started on the ridiculous events. We just had to deal with moving statues that make people disappear.
