That isn't a farfetched conclusion. I certainly haven't heard of an island surrounded by an invisible and impenetrable barrier until I arrived here.

It's even more jarring for me.

I'm from a place that has no ocean. Well, one of water.

What kind of oceans did you have?

Clouds of death that cover everything below the much smaller parts of land that are floating above it.

Clouds of "death," you say. That sounds fairly… unpleasant.

Well, no one who has went down there has come back, even if they could fly, so it's a fairly fair claim.

And if you think that sounds bad, one little problem, and some land could fall into it.

I consider myself lucky, then, that my own world's geography was not so treacherous.

I think it's one of those things you really take for granted.

…Perhaps. But there are enough other dangers to make up for that one lacking.

Somehow, I'm not surprised to hear that.

Nor would I be. Likely, there are cruelties present in every world we may come across.

And this place could just very well end up getting one of those, how enjoyable.

I will, in all likelihood. There isn't much else I see occupying my time.

Anyway, I guess I should tell you everything else I know about this place. First off, make sure you know what to eat. It may not be poison but there's some stuff here that will really screw with you.

Next, while there is no way in hell I suggest you do this now, there are some hot springs around.

Lastly, you may come across someone that you know. But they could be from the future.

…You're being rather vague. What can the wrong kind of food do? And what is it that's wrong with the hot springs?

Well, maybe they could make you grow another arm or something.

And I don't trust already heated water under an extra warm sun.

Well, yes, using a hot spring seems less than appealing right now.

As for food, though, I'll have to eat something.
