So you go to that Shibusen place. What do weapon meisters do?

I guess you don't know of demon weapons, then? Basically, a weapon and a meister partner up, and from there they learn to fight together and collect the souls they need.

...What do you mean by partners, aren't the weapons inanimate? And why would you collect souls? That sounds...err, inhumane.

Aha, not quite. Some people have the unique ability to transform into a weapon, but usually, they need someone to wield them. The only souls we can collect are the ones listed by the grim reaper who runs our school-- the corrupted ones.

So, there are people who can turn into weapons and people that can't that wield them. Why do you collect souls? And are there witches in your world?

Really? They don't cause any trouble? Back where I'm from there are witches and wizards that are bad, too, but we just send them to prison.

You take their souls, too, right? What's done with the souls once they're collected?

That sounds like what the Dementors do with prisoners in Azkaban. Except...well, they eat their souls. And they do it for sheer pleasure, I don't think they gain power from it.
