Yeah, but I'm kind of limited on who I tell that to. Witches Council won't let us tell mortals that we have magic or else we lose them. You know separation of mortals and magic. Nice to meet someone who uses magic too though.

Hmm. White council just tends to frown on the whole being open thing in my world. Too many people think I'm nuts. Witch, Wizards AND normal everyday human.

Nope, not here. But you tell a normal person you can do magic back home, and they give you funny looks. The magic people think I'm crazy for announcing it.

They probably think you mean magician! You know, rabbit out of the hat trick, hidden sashes, and all that jazz.

Made a point of disputing that, actually. Says so on my card, "no endless purses, love potions, or other entertainment".

And they still think you're crazy?

Several hundred years of saying magic is fake for ya. No one appreciates the arcane arts anymore.

If my friends knew what I could do, they'd certainly like it. But, yeah darn rules.

What's your job as a wizard anyways?

Primarily? PI type work. Magic consulting for the police department. Officially? Warden for the White Council.

Well that's something I don't hear about everyday.

Really? We're pretty feared by some people, scoffed at by others, but everyone and their cocker spaniel have heard of us.

Well, I never heard of it, but I guess that means magic has a different principle where you come from.

Magic police must not be as needed in your world.

The Witches Council does most of the regulating of witches anyways, including the ones training to become licensed witches. I'm over with my testing thank goodness.

Depends. I did... but that's because of my history.

Let me guess. Dark, dangerous, and distressing?

Some of it. Doesn't help my family is a little famous for some of the wrong reasons, or that I'm amongst the top dozen most powerful wizards alive.

Huh. Don't know whether to be impressed or not, but that is pretty admirable.
