‘scuse me, but it seems that I kinda lost the beehive I was experimenting on. You see, I tripped and it went flying through that window… If you find a suspiciously angry sounding skep anywhere, don’t try and remove its plug. Just call me or try to kill it without making it open.

((What’s inside the beehive? Lots of bees enhanced with demonic cells, meaning that they’re about the size of hornets, regenerate for a limited amount of kills and don’t die after stinging somebody.))

Usually there's at least a similar feeling. But this level of difference...maybe if you're a mixed heritage...? Is that possible?

Sadly, I have no special abilities like that. Staying in human more makes things just easier, especially interaction with people who aren't used to dealing with demons.

..... I am a direct descendant of Pandemonium's Queen. Only demons can enter that place and the queen never left it. Furthermore, only a selected few are allowed to approach her. This and several other reasons make demons of mixed heritage not only unlikely to exist but impossible.

Though some religions do have demons and gods more secluded from each other.

...perhaps that it is? There is definitely an affect the human world leaves on beings. If you don't go there...especially with those levels meaning you don't often...that could be it?

It's not uncommon for demons or gods to do some training on Earth. The power is more manageable, since a part automatically goes to regulating our bodies, so it doesn't become overwhelming as it grows.

Ah. I see. Belldandi... [He considers for a moment, racking his brain for what he's heard about those myths.] It's the pantheon with the one-eyed guy and the other one who sired an eight-legged horse?

... Maybe? I don't know really much about the 'why's behind those regulations.

I think it translates what everyone is saying into some sort of 'default' language. I'm speaking american english.

It does. The problem is I naturally speak all languages, so I can't be sure how it's coming out in the end. I could be speaking Japanese, Nordice, or something else.

A translation most people understand is Sisters of Fate, like they have in the Greek mythoology.

The eye....? Ah, no! We don't have that. I don't usually do a lot of those type of readings anymore. We try not to interfere too much in the recent centuries.

Who knows~? Bad things happen all the time somewhere. It's hard to tell which ones are normal and which are not - nothing to say about there being some higher kind of reason power behind them.

...is that why you think the gods are gone? Because bad things happen?

In our world, we used to interfere a lot. But it threw things off balance.

We had to pull back or else the world would have been destroyed. It would have only been a few years away back home.

Free will can self regulate rather well. There are only a few times we have to interfere or else everything would be destroyed.

But sadly, bad things have to happen at times, to keep things from falling into disarray. No matter how sad it is.

Mhm. I might have said that I am a demon, but I, too, do believe in free will more than anything else.

Bad things need to happen, just as good things do. We wouldn't be able to appreciate any of them without the other.
