This is directed to those staying at the inn. I've been told there's no official innkeeper and a few people have asked if I was the new one.

If people have no objections, I would love to take on the role and the inn-san does not seem to object either.

I hope everyone might approve.

How is it sad?

An object has a voice, but it is still limited. It cannot move on it's own and has to depend on the living. It knows when someone cares for it and part of that is when the person talks to it.

It just makes me think of a lot of those are lonely on this Island, if it's really so rare.

I can understand being attached to something that has sentimental value, or an object being very useful for life-saving purposes. You can still care for it in many ways other than talking to it, if that makes sense. Unless it's a cell phone which you can use to communicate with others.

But without those things, I can see the person who wants them be sad they can't use them.

Caring for it does help. It just always seemed to be when humans talked to their treasures, they were happier. It feels more...personal.

But I always try to listen to anything and with some of the power sources on the Island, others might have been concerned for inn-san.

Hm... I'm starting to get where you're coming from with this.

I do like the inn because it has warmth and some level of stability compared to caves and huts. Speaking of power sources, I heard about a power plant residing at another island. I never went there myself, though.

It is and inn-san was content. It just made him a bit happier to know there's someone who won't delay in anything that needs to be done.

Is there? I wonder if someone who knows more about the Island is there?

There has to be people who actually traveled to other islands by boat. Maybe I should ask them and obtain more information that way.

If you can't get a boat, I can get us there easily enough.

I need to practice with phase shifting to making sure there's no problems with it, so it will have to be flying if you don't have any problems with that.

Phase shifting sounds like a Knightmare Frame mode. Wait a minute, you can fly?

I'm afraid I don't know what that is. Phase shifting is more or less teleportation, but a medium is usually used. I use mirrors. However, it's also the way I get home from Earth, so I don't know if I can do it here and I wouldn't want to bring someone if I were to test that.

It's a mech used for combat in my world. And I see, there are some people I know who use magic for convenient purposes. Guess you could test yours out and see if it works, though I doubt you'd be able to leave easily.

Magic is supposed to make life just a bit easier.

Oh, I tried to leave immediately to see if I could. It didn't work, but I haven't tried while staying here.

No, I'm a Goddess. Having a medium for flight just makes it faster and easier to bring others along.

Oh, I see. Meeting an actual goddess is news to me.
