[He still thinks most everyone on the island is insane. No, he still doesn't believe in all the magic. And yes, he's still trying to find some way to logically explain everything.

But even detective maniac Edogawa Conan needs a break. Which was why today he was taking a break. At present, he was sitting under a tree with a stack of comic books on top of his jacket laying on the ground.

They were Sherlock Holmes comics. He wanted to see if they were any good since he hadn't gotten the chance to read them back home. For the moment, he seems more than content.

...now, really, he's just asking for someone to bug him.]

Eh? Ah, she's someone I met. She does magic tricks and make puzzles and she enjoys stumping people. She considers me a challenge so I play the game with her a lot.

[Not..gonna mention the whole witch and Rokkenjima thing.]

It's a more relaxed mystery to solve! Kind of like Kaitou Kid. Though he's more fun. [Because the death aspect wasn't involved at all. And Kid had some semblance of sanity...somewhere in his head. And he was definitely a good guy, if he did bad things.

And yeah, definitely won't tell her about Rokkenjima. Especially with how THOSE deaths turn out.]

[ laughing at that ] You're probably one of the few people who'd call trying to catch him "fun".

Oh, it's definitely maddening. I'd love to see him get caught by a mad Ran-neechan one day, but...

Well, it's nice there's at least one crime scene I end up at that no one is supposed to get hurt.

[And he was. There was just pure fun in Kid's heists. No death, no worry. While there was no guarantee for nothing bad to happen, there was a guarantee nothing was SUPPOSED to. And even if something did...well, then the criminal would have more to deal with than just him.]

...though I suppose it'd be possible if they grabbed him as a civilian. Most of the people after him don't even think he's younger than late thirties, so he wouldn't think anyone would be after him like that.

Late thirties-- seriously? I don't know about that.

'Kaitou Kid' has been around for close to twenty years, Kazuha-neechan. Even if he had started as a teenager, he'd be in his late thirties.

If the Kid of eight years ago was the same Kid as today.

...to be fair, Kid doesn't usually let any of those in the task force get close enough to get a good look at him. Of maybe it's just none of them want to admit what might be the truth of the first Kid's disappearance.

But I'm almost positive that the present Kid is early twenties, at best. He might even be younger.
