[He still thinks most everyone on the island is insane. No, he still doesn't believe in all the magic. And yes, he's still trying to find some way to logically explain everything.

But even detective maniac Edogawa Conan needs a break. Which was why today he was taking a break. At present, he was sitting under a tree with a stack of comic books on top of his jacket laying on the ground.

They were Sherlock Holmes comics. He wanted to see if they were any good since he hadn't gotten the chance to read them back home. For the moment, he seems more than content.

...now, really, he's just asking for someone to bug him.]

Do you mind if I join? I'll be doing some reading myself. [Holding a book that is written in German]

[Good thing there's no wool. Sherlock Holmes can make him act his actual age.]

Go ahead. [Looking at the book.] You can read German then?

Yes. English and French are included and somewhat recently, Japanese.

[Pauses. There's that language barrier question again.]

When did you pick up Japanese?

The moment my Medium wound me up when I arrived in his country. It seems that I can communicate with humans that speak different languages regardless of where I am. It makes things run much smoother in a way. [Sitting down and opening up her book.]

So you can instantly speak the language, but not necessarily read, is that it?

Well, it takes time, but my sisters and I learn quickly enough. My sister Souseiseki was able to write rather well in Japanese.

Has she gotten to the kanji yet?

I suppose she has. It's been a while since I've seen her even though she was on this island at some point.

Well, it can take kids a few years to learn it. And...is she more closely related to Suiseiseki?

Yes. They're twins.

[Pauses.]

...how do twins work with dolls?

They were both created at the same time perhaps. Suiseiseki is the Third Doll, Souseiseki is the Fourth.

So there was a larger time gap between them and the others?

... I don't really remember. We all have our own memories of our own creation, not of each others'. I can only guess. It was a while before we even saw each other as sisters.

I'm not saying you can't. I just won't have enough answers.

...and not being sisters with your sisters has to do with missing your father?

You are over analyzing again. They ARE my sisters and what I meant was that we did not see each others faces. It is the memory of Father whom I respect and miss dearly.

...I suppose I wouldn't. I like my parents well enough, but I've always been rather..independent of them. So understanding how you feel is harder for someone like me.

I suppose it's because I'm not human that I feel strongly for Father. My sisters and I are not an existence that is natural. You would not have been born without your parents. We would not have been made and given our own souls had it not been for Father.

Other people might understand. [Heck, if Conan was real, he'd probably understand more.] Just not me...

But it's good you care that much about him. Where is he?

Somewhere where we can't meet him. Not yet anyways.
