The leader of that group helped me dig the foundation a while ago.

... damn. That's a pretty impressive job. [ Peeeeers in ] How far does it expand underground?

Not far. It's only partially submerged. The rest is a hill that only rises a bit. All in all there's enough room for a 3D map, a detention cell, and three to four bunks.

An operational HQ could always come in handy though.

Of course. You never know when you might need to fall back to a safe zone to plan a course of action.

... not to mention it beats sleeping in a cave.

I've been sleeping wherever I can find shelter for the last couple years for the most part. Unless I was on board a ship.

A base feels... as close to home as I've had in a while.

I have. Structure is... odd. Almost as if the flat part on top were a stage.

There's something else you should know about it.

There's a god damn kid living there. And by "kid", I mean she can't be much over five years old.

Her name's Yotsuba. As far as I can tell she's just a normal little kid. Still, I didn't think the island would drag in someone that young...

I'm keeping tabs on her. With the way the wildlife around here can get, it's better safe than sorry. Especially when it comes to handling an over-imaginative five year old.

I see. I'll keep an eye out for her. Make sure nothing gets too rowdy near her.

I figured I could count on your support. She's hard to miss; little kid with bright green hair. ... what's up with all the weird hair colors around here anyway?

Though... I'm almost curious how she'll react to a metal man.
