It seems as if some people here might want to have a game of poker sometime.  That would be interesting.  ^.^  I know the rules of that game, though I have never played.  Perhaps we could have a game in a few days.  Who would be willing to play with me?  [OOC:  Sunday, mebbe?] 

I also have an interesting philosophical question to pose.  There is little to occupy our minds here, so perhaps we can have an intellectual discourse over something larger.  Please do respond.  ^.^

I have been giving the matter of Kira's presence some thought.  If we are to act, the following course may be the one we should take.

On these islands, it is difficult to keep track of people, and any number of things might kill them.  This works to Kira's advantage, as he can have someone "disappear" without leaving visible proof of their demise.

Of course, any convenient "disappearances" would make us suspicious, though it would be hard to absolutely prove wrongdoing.

Kira's one goal during his time here will undoubtedly be to kill all three of us.  However, unless he uses someone else to trade for the shinigami eyes, it will be difficult for him to kill L or myself.  It would take time for him to assess people that far.  

If he kills dear Mello alone, there is no doubt that we will be suspicious, but he will probably know soon enough that we fully suspect him of being Kira.  Hence, if given the chance to kill dear Mello, I think there is a 61% chance that he would take it even if he could not yet kill L or me.

The best plan for obtaining proof against Kira may be to create a situation where he believes dear Mello to be vulnerable and catch him in that situation.  He knows that Mello and I have a rivalry.  Now that he has arrived here, perhaps dear Mello would have a reason to get very angry with me and leave our living situation.  If L were to choose me as his successor, that might be enough for Mello to convincingly break ties with the both of us.  Kira would obtain that information eventually.  He might attempt to kill Mello if he thought Mello were alone in an isolated area. O.O

Before anything is attempted, we should determine what amount of Death Note he has with him.  

Another advantage may involve these other types of shinigami.  Since they are not living humans from what I have been told, I do not think that the Death Note would work on them.  If we found one that we could trust, perhaps we could make a plan around that instead.

For now, the best course seems to be to assess what we have, keep Kira in the dark as much as possible, and try to plan a way to catch him.  We should not act rashly.

I am going to talk to Duo and see if I can answer his mistrust.  It is unlikely, but worth attempting before he is manipulated by Kira.

I would not like to risk your life.  We would have to find a way to make sure that he could not take your life if we were to attempt it.
